How To Apply

Follow These Three Steps

  1. APPLY
    Apply now online at apply.fau.edu to complete our combined application for undergraduate admissions and merit-based scholarships. Pay the application fee of $30. We do accept application fee waivers from College Board, ACT and NACAC. Students should complete their application and submit. After this is complete students should email, admissions@fau.edu, or fax, 561-297-2758, their fee waiver.

  2. CREATE YOUR SSAR
    Complete and submit your Self-reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) to FAU
    Go to appstatus.fau.edu and click on the SSAR option. After entering SSAR credentials submit it to link it to your FAU application.

  3. SEND US YOUR TEST SCORES
    Self report every SAT/ACT test score through your application status portal at appstatus.fau.edu. Make sure to self report all your scores because we do superscore test scores.

Fee Waiver

Paying your application fee with a fee waiver? Complete and SUBMIT your application for admission. Then email, mail, fax, or bring in your completed ACT/SAT or NACAC Application Fee waiver with your FAU “Z” number included (from your application).

Admissions evaluations for first-year students began October 1. Please allow 4-6 weeks from the date you completed your application to recieve your admissions decision.

*Please Note: An application to the university is considered complete upon the receipt and processing of the online application, SAT/ACT scores, a completed and linked SSAR, and the application fee in order to receive an admissions decision.

For Admitted Students Only: Please submit all of your official SAT scores through www.collegeboard.com [School Code: 5229] or (866) 630-9305. Please submit all of your official ACT scores through www.act.org [School Code: 0729] or (319) 337-1313.


International Student Transcripts

If you attend an International or American high school outside the United States, you must request that your high school counselor or school administrator email an official PDF copy of your current high school transcript. It must be emailed to applicationfeewaiver@fau.edu and the subject line must include International High School Transcript and your full name as written on your FAU application. Alternatively, mail your transcripts via post to:
